Roofing built for California
Roofs fail differently in different parts of the state
Salt air on the coast eats flashing and fasteners. Inland heat cooks the underlayment under tile until it fails while the tile still looks new. The Sierra foothills add snow load and freeze-thaw on top of a fire-zone assembly. The Bay Area packs its rain into a handful of atmospheric-river storms that find every weak spot at once.
We roof for the failure mode that actually shows up where you live — not a generic template. That is the difference between a repair that holds and one that leaks again next winter.
Whatever your roof needs, the process is the same: a free inspection with a photo report, a straight recommendation, and a written scope before any work starts. We pull the permit, schedule the inspections, and back the installation with a workmanship warranty on top of the manufacturer material warranty.

Roofing questions, answered
Do you charge for a roof inspection?
No. Your roof inspection is free and comes with a photo report showing exactly what we found. There is no obligation to hire us.
Do I need a permit to reroof in California?
In nearly every California jurisdiction, yes. We pull the reroof permit and schedule the required inspections as part of the job.
Do you do both repairs and full replacements?
Both. If a targeted repair will hold, we will tell you. If the roof is near the end of its life, we will show you why a replacement is the better spend.
My tile roof leaks but the tile looks fine. What is wrong?
Almost always the underlayment beneath the tile has failed. The tile lasts for decades, but the felt underneath wears out first. The fix is often a lift-and-relay: reuse the tile, replace the underlayment.
What roof do I need in a high fire severity zone?
A Class A fire-rated assembly with ember-resistant vents and no wood shake, consistent with California Building Code Chapter 7A. Class A shingle, tile, and metal assemblies all qualify.
Do you help with insurance after storm damage?
We document the damage with photos and provide what your carrier needs. We cannot promise how a claim is decided, and by California law we will not waive or absorb your deductible.
